Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about our retreats!
How do I find out about retreats and one-day events?
All upcoming events will always be listed here on our website. We also send out occasional newsletters, so if you join our email list you'll be one of the first to know when we announce dates and open registration! (We promise never to spam you or sell your information)
How do I register and pay for an upcoming retreat?
When registration for a retreat opens, you will use the "Event Registration" link on our website to register. (it does not appear when registration is not open) For payment, you'll have the option to pay using Paypal or by mailing in a check with your registration form.
Are children allowed to attend weekend retreats?
We want our retreats to be a time of escape and relaxation, away from the responsibilities of home. To honor this for all of our guests, no children are allowed under the age of 13. Girls 13 and up are welcome to attend as a paying scrapbooker, same price as an adult.
What if I don't want the meals?
Since we are an all-inclusive retreat, all of our registrations include the meals. We don't offer registration without the meals at this time. (The food is delicious!)
What about dietary restricts or allergies?
On your retreat registration form, you'll be able to note any food allergies or dietary restrictions you have. We will post the menu for each retreat once it is finalized. You are welcome to bring in your own items to accommodate your needs for any part of the menu.
Do you accommodate handicapped ladies or those unable to climb stairs?
Yes! For our weekend retreats, Rockin' R Retreat Center has three bedrooms downstairs with a total of 9 beds to accommodate those ladies who are in wheelchairs or unable to go up and down the stairs. If you prefer a downstairs room, you will note that on your registration form.
If I'm coming with my friends, can we stay together in a room and have our crop tables together?
Yes, just make sure you ALL complete the retreat registration and put each other's names on your forms.
Can my friends and I just do one registration form and payment together?
You each need to send in a separate registration form, but you may make one Paypal payment that covers all of your registration fees. Just click on "Note to Seller" when you make your Paypal payment and list the names of the ladies that the payment covers.
What if I snore or do not want a snoring roommate?
If you snore, please let us know. We have attendees who request "quiet roommates" and are unable to sleep if someone in the room is snoring. Likewise, we have some who snore and do not want to be with light sleepers! :)
Do I need to bring money with me?
Since your retreat is paid in full before you arrive, the only money you'll need will be for vendor booth purchases, the massage therapist, and any trips into town for snacks or Starbucks!
What is the temperature in the crop room?
We do our best to keep the temperature very comfortable for everyone, however most people prefer to be a little chilly rather than sweating. So if you are cold-natured you may want to have a sweater with you. And remember, pajamas are perfectly suitable dress for the weekend!
Do you play music?
No, we prefer to keep the music limited to your own headphones. This way we don't have to please all musical tastes and attendees are able to visit with one another.
Are the sleeping rooms quiet?
Yes! The upstairs sleeping area is completely insulated from the cropping area downstairs, so noise is never a problem. The downstairs rooms are closed off from the crop room at 10 pm by closed doors. Additionally, all rooms come equipped with a large box fan, perfect for "white noise."
Do I need to bring my own sheets, towels, pillow, and blanket?
When you arrive at the retreat, your twin bed will be made with fresh, clean sheets. A towel, washcloth, and bath mat are provided for each person as well and will be on your bed for you. The rooms have extra blankets and hooks for hanging up your towels. You are always welcome to bring your favorite pillow and blanket from home!
What if I only want to stay for one day?
At this time we do not offer one-day registrations for weekend retreats. Look for our one-day events to be announced!
Do you have carts available to bring in my supplies?
Yes! Rockin' R has two dollies that you may use to cart your supplies to your table in the crop room. They are located in the front living room as you check in.
May I bring snacks and drinks?
Of course! You will have a large wire drink holder attached to your crop table, the perfect size for holding your beverages and keeping them away from your scrapbook pages. You may bring any snacks you like to keep at your table. Just make sure they are sealed at night.
Do you have Internet access?
Yes, free wifi connections are available 24/7 to everyone.
Is the crop room closed at a certain time?
You can scrapbook all day and all night if you like. The crop room is always open!
May I attend by myself?
Absolutely! We've had many ladies attend solo. The way the crop room is set up allows for lots of space for you, but also encourages visiting and making new friends. You won't leave as a stranger! There is plenty of privacy in the bedrooms and bathrooms, too.
